Russia was exsanguinated by civil war in the middle of the twentieth years of the XX century. Despite of that, the management took a decision to build the largest hotel in the country. The place of erection of the first Soviet hotel had to be in several hundreds meters from the Kremlin - on the Ohotnyj Ryad street.
The project architects were L.I.Savelyeva and O.A.Staprana. A.V.ShChusev, academician of architecture, headed the project. Hotel opened its doors for the first visitors in 1935 at 20th of December. The unique architectural decision, magnificent halls, magic furnish of the halls, pictures of the world famous artists remains a pride of the city.
It is rather tempting to visit "Moskva" hotel, were the world-famous people lived. Alexey Stahanov and Valery Chkalov, Demyan Bedny and Ilya Erenburg, George Zhukov and Konstantin Rokossovsky, Lyudmila Tselikovskaya, Michael Zharov and Arcady Rajkin, Frederik Jolio-Kiuri and Pablo Nerudo, Jury Gagarin, Boris Yeltsin and many others.
 "Moskva" hotel is the most central of the Moscow hotels. It is located in a hundred meters from the sign of "Zero-Kilometer of the Russian Roads".
A lot of sights of the capital are visible from the windows of the hotel. There are Golden domes of ancient cathedrals of the Kremlin, the temple of the Christ-Savior, placed on a bend of the Moscow-river and well-known Bolshoy and Maly Theatres situated near the hotel.
 Despite of the huge changes which have occurred in the country, the hotel still borrows one of conducting places in system of a hotel facilities of the capital. All new and advanced is applied in the hotel. The majority of hotel's rooms corresponds all international standards.
